02 / Baudare
Twenty years of branding that was never commissioned as branding.
Baudare did not begin with a grand request for a brand system. One project led to another until a family resemblance emerged across the range. The design task became one of stewardship: making each decision add to the whole. The challenge was not to make it louder, but to make the quality of the offer easier to grasp at first sight.

SituationA producer whose visual identity was built progressively
across many wine labels.
RolePackaging, brand stewardship and visual hierarchy.
What matteredA flexible range with recognisable family traits and room
for individual character.
The useful diagnosis.
What they asked for
Package a premium wine, then support the wider range as it expanded.
What we found
The accumulation of consistent decisions was quietly creating a brand system.
What we recommended
Strengthen shared DNA across the range while preserving enough distinction for each cuvée to feel deliberate, not templated.
Sometimes the brand appears after the work has already begun.
